Synopsis: RETAILis the popular Madeiran term attributed to the Viola d'Arame. This connotation results from the fact that the "Bass" sound produced by the instrument sounds like the sound of a blowfly.

This project that defends and promotes Madeiran Music and Cordophones has as its repertoire traditional and popular Madeiran themes, classical music, originals by Madeiran musicians, among others.

In their performance, the two musicians interpret Rajão, Viola d'Arame and Voz, where they sometimes join other instruments such as: Machete, Viola Fingered, Rajão Dobrado, Viola Machete and Viola d'Arame Requinta.

Rajãois a 5-string Madeiran Cordophone with tuning (reentrant between the 3rd and 4th string) inLa Mi Do Sol Re (from high to low).
