What is?
EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens is an annual cycle of three concerts, in a natural environment at sunrise or sunset, which until then was dedicated exclusively to the area surrounding the Paúl da Serra. As such, until now, the Ponta do Sol City Council, the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation and the Ponta do Sol Inn, are considered strategic partners for the realization of the same.
However, due to a logical need for expansion, in the future it is intended to expand the concept to other locations with excellent conditions for this purpose in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Where does it take place?
EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens has the particularity of taking place in predetermined spaces contiguous (or close) to Paúl da Serra, in places of high scenic and/or heritage interest, namely:

Why does it happen?
Paúl da Serra is known for its extensive plateau and preserves within its territorial (or approximate) boundaries some natural monuments that stand out for their altitude, which in turn have the best conditions for favored sightings of both sunrise and sunset. of its sunset.
On the other hand, we have been gradually verifying a growing interest in this type of experiences that combine music with the best nature has to offer, thus enhancing experiences assumed to be unique and unforgettable.
When does it take place?
EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens aims to hold an annual cycle of three concerts spread over the months of July and September.
How is it done?
Like any other concert within the EcoMusicalis concept, the EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens concert cycle takes place, above all, in a natural space with a privileged view, as the case may be, to the twilight and subsequent afterglow that precedes or precedes sunrise -sun and sunset.
Historic
The EcoMusicalis Sol Oriens / Sol Occidens variant arises from a proposal by Retoiça - Cultural, Sports and Recreation Association readily accepted by the Ponta do Sol City Council (then led by Eng.º Rui Marques), to carry out a cycle of concerts in emblematic sites in the municipality of Ponta do Sol with privileged sightings for sunrise and sunset.
