EcoMusicalis Regalis is a partnership project between the Associação do Caminho Real da Madeira and Retoiça - Cultural, Sports and Recreative Association, derived from the EcoMusicalis concept, which aims to value and above all honor the ancient and fabulous royal paths existing in the Region Autonomous Region of Madeira.
Where does it take place?
EcoMusicalis Regalis has the particularity of taking place in spaces adjacent to the royal paths of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, namely in places of high scenic and/or heritage interest.
Why does it happen?
The Royal Paths are, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most valuable built heritage of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. These paths "breathe" history and significantly contribute to Madeira's own identity. As such, in a perspective of valuing and/or calling attention to such a valuable heritage, and out of respect for the meritorious work developed by the Associação do Caminho Real da Madeira, we believe that the association of performing arts (in natural space) with this cause, helps and enhances the pursuit of the purposes of both associations.
When does it take place?
EcoMusicalis Regalis aims to hold an annual cycle of four concerts distributed according to the seasons of the year, that is, one concert for each season.
How is it done?
Like any other concert within the EcoMusicalis concept, the EcoMusicalis Regalis concert cycle takes place, above all, in a natural space, always next to the Caminho Real.
The EcoMusicalis Regalis variant arises from a challenge launched by the Associação do Caminho Real da Madeira à Retoiça - Cultural, Sports and Recreation Association to carry out sporadic concerts in emblematic locations that are part of the Royal Paths existing in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The first event took place on July 7, 2017 at Miradouro do Fio, Zimbreiros - Fajã da Ovelha (Calheta), with Tiago Sena Silva presenting the audience with a magnificent presentation.
